Description


The major goal of this project is to study the magnetic field structure of the Magellanic Clouds galaxies by analyzing the polarized emission of the interstellar medium using the Planck satellite survey data and implementing methods of image processing and astrophysical computations. Studying magnetic fields, localized in galactic disks, and their relationship with interstellar medium is of great importance, because interstellar medium plays the key role in formation of stars and its dynamics, determines where stars are born, and influences the origin of complex molecules and dust grains, which are the fundamental building blocks of planets.
